Waving the white flag

I am officially giving up on the October photography challenge. I only posted three pictures, I probably have about 5 more pictures that I could post, but I don't think I'll stress myself out over it.

I am doing a good job over on our wedding blog, so I'm going to make that my focus and not worry about this blog right now. Not a daily challenge anyway.

October challenge day 3: Clouds

The day started off with a rainy morning and the clouds for most of the day threatened more rain. I went outside to run around with the dogs in the backyard, looked up, and realized there were puffy altocumulus clouds up above my head (sorry, is my nerd showing? I swear I didn't even know the types of clouds until last year when I had to learn it to teach it).

October challenge day 2: what you wore today

Full disclosure: I went to yoga at 10:45 AM, put on my hoodie over my yoga stuff when class was over and that's what I wore for the rest of the day. It was a lazy Sunday, what can I say?

In case anyone's wondering, that's a JMU sweatshirt that predates college and C9 yoga pants from Target. HOT.

October challenge day 1: Self-portrait

I had close to 1,000 photos of me taken today. Today, Joel and I took engagement pictures. I took exactly one of myself. Someone else did my hair and make-up so I was sure to take a picture as soon as I got home.

A new challenge

I haven't exactly been the best blogger on this little 'ol blog of mine. I decided that in order to breathe some life into it, I was going to need a plan.

I recently completed my 365 project, taking one picture a day for a year ... although it was really closer to a 400 day project because I missed several days and refused to quite until there were 365 pictures! I solely used Facebook to post my pictures so that certainly didn't help kick start my blog.

I've seen several bloggers of the blogs in my Google Reader discuss embarking on a 30-day photo challenge starting today and lasting for the month of October. I'm hoping this will help give me some inspiration about what to share with the internet world that's not wedding-related. Because let's face it, I can only take so much wedding talk and I'm the one planning the wedding.

Our Wired Lives presented the challenge, there are lots of participants now, so why not? Without further ado, I present the October 30 day challenge:
